Hello,
my name is Jade Reyniers and I am an goldsmith. From when I was young I was working with art, around the age of 15 I discovered the wonderfull
world of fimo. I loved it to be able to make something solid. The numerous colors fascinated me and I gained enormous satisfaction out of this.
A few years later I looked forward to something more, a next step.
After a few years of higer education I decided to make an attempt at the Art Academic of Antwerp. I learned to work
with many different materials and learned to think about many subjects. What a great inspiration was of ideas and subjects,
was not sufficient for the techniques and the form giving of metals.
And so I went to the education of "Syntra West". This was a very learningfull education in which I discovered many
different techniques. In this education we also had a thesis. The best were chosen to participate in
the school competition. The theme of that year was humour. So I made a sort of mask entirely out of silver. It was
a sort of head jewel with big pigsears and a pigsnose. I inspired on a clown nose and formed this to a pig-related
theme, since I lived my whole life in "Zwijnaarde" (litteral translate as "Hogh-earth") I found this to be suiting.
This thesis did compete in the school competition. It was on display a whole mont in the "Diamantenpaviljoen"
of the M.A.S. in Antwerp city
During the whole experience I started to buy materials to fine tune my workshop. Now 4 years later I started
a small business of my own, to this day on I still learn something new every day. There are still diverse educations
in the evening-school on my program to even further fine tune my skills.
I hope you like my collections as much as I had fun in making them.
